1. Interested in your Guild. |
Reasons 1. You're active. 2. You're anti and have friendship 3. My higher level vassals desire hunting grounds and people to hunt with. 4. You're not blood crazed teenagers. No offense to any bct's present. Ok, I've come to DT with friends from TD, the Eva of Dal allegiance aka The Winding Path. I was happy to see active message boards as I would severely miss that from WP. So here I am. I'm currently the monarch defacto, not the highest level(17) but think it might be a good fit for both of us. All new characters from the WP alleg will swear under my chain, the alleg is 500+ on TD and we have about 12 here now under me that are all active. Some level more then others. We're pretty self suffcient but would like a larger structure for new vassal chains and somewhere to contribute all the "worthless" loot we aquire that someone else thinks is great. I have a mule with some nice stuff I don't use(gambling type stuff al 125 shields etc.) that I can't use. I'd happily give to the alleg. as a down payment for the future Please have someone contact me in game or Zeno al-Zorander as he's my best friend in AC, patron on TD and I trust his decisions. If he says I talked to yadda yadda, we should swear to him, I trust that, implicitly. Smiling Skull (resident Shoushi Mt., Eastham Defender) |

| Hehe well Disraeli told me he's talking to you in game right now so I'm not gonna bother you with that. Disraeli should be perfectly fit to talk to you as he is (or maybe more was in his former life on Darktide) the reason we got most of this band together. I think your assessment of us is quite good (in a way I'm amazed it's that easy to make all that up out of what you can see of us). We're active, we're anti/honor/good/..., we value friendship and fun above all else (hence the reason why after playing for a long time we still are not a bunch of powerleveled uberguys). We're also indeed not teenagers as our core manages to pull the average age up a lot hehe Not being blood crazed teenagers is expected from anybody in the guild anyway In AC we are managing to make a good impression on the guilds living around us and we've made quite a few friends thanks to our long winded past. One point I wanna make though is that quite a few of our core members are European and therefor we might not allways play the same hours. Most of us play daily between 9PM GMT and 2AM GMT. During the weekends you'll find even European guys on at about any time (just not all of us at once ). the point certainly is that if hours do not match that you will not see a few of us which might get frustrating. I want to tell you this before you make a decision cause it's fair to do so. Off course an easy thing would be to try it out and see what you end up with. It is not that we would wish you ill for leaving us at any time (as long as you don't leave, backstab us and become an RPK freak off course ). We've also expanded beyond the point where it is easy for me to make an assessment of who is on when so I might probably be surprised myself on who plays when and the ease of finding online people at all times Anyway, I think it's nice you managed to find us and I am sure that it would be nice to have you become part of our group. I'm certain you'd meet quite a few nice people in OAC (I certainly did) and you can make some nice friends out of it. AC is a fun game for us and we value people playing it for fun and friendship. We don't bitch, we don't whine, we just log in do whatever gives us a good time and we live the role we choose (good/honor/anti) as best as we can. Blakar |

| I was very happy with what Disraeli said and I echoed. "We play to have fun, not for toys, vitae doesn't matter ..." He seemed interested and after our talk I am more so. Now if my vassals get around to chatting and looking I'll be all set to talk to whoever you want So far so good, may play later. Dinner now EST. I play mornings GMT 15:00 and had 2 UK vassals I used to see all the time. Some of my vassals I think don't sleep and have IV-AC they are always on Good for xp! 4. I have a few questions. |
last updated at 27 Jun, 2001 01:49 (1 times) Our current monarch, Smiling Skull, asked his followers to check out your allegiance. I have looked over the page but I still have a few questions. How many members are in your allegiance? Do you go on many quests? What exactly is your stand on fighting? Are you allowed to attack someone who has threatened you or has previously hurt one of your friends or guildmates? I am somewhat new to Darktide and am still confused on the differences between honor pk, anti, neutral. What are your definitions of these and which do you use to describe yourselves? Sorry for all the questions, but these are things I would like to know to see if I fit into the mold. And thanks for considering us.

| Ok my only fear seems to turn around in a feature Apparently you're the kind that hangs with us euro's a lot due to weird playing times. That will surely make you enjoy OAC better cause it'll enable you to play same hours most people are on. And as people that stick together tend to play same hours that solves the issues for your friends too. I've heard that you are referring your friends to our site to get to know us better which I most certainly like. We really like to keep the site an interesting extension for our active players and it eases communication a lot. We also do our best at keeping it up to date when it comes to interesting links to info and guilds as politics do matter on Darktide Anyway, up to now I've heard nothing but good coming out of this so I hope we can keep that up. It's not really that we get offers like these all the time, let be offers this promising. I'm certain some people think we're way to weary at times when it comes to new members and larger guilds but it keeps it fun and avoids us having to deal with rogue members Though for now I'm still confident that this ain't a bad thing for us and that we could gain a nice bunch of new friends out of this. I'm still amazed that you managed to pick us out in that big pile of Darktide guilds but if I look at what you're looking for I can't say you don't fit the profile of the average OAC member. Blakar |

6. Re:I have a few questions. |
| I'll be happy to answer your questions Size: We are a small guild still and we do our best at not growing too much. At the moment there are about 130 followers underneath arrakis of which we know over 80% with ease (if I write down people and their chars I can probably get to that 70 or 80% on my own). Off course people tend to have more than 1 char so an estimate amount of active players would be in the range of 50 I think. OAC is at all times meant to be a group of friends and thus we have no plans to grow beyond what we can control on a friendly basis. Not that I doubt that 200 active players are uncontrollable but you need to invest time in building up a group that large. Quests: Basically we do whatever people are interested in. This includes quests that aren't really that interesting for everybody but fun to go along on (my archer has Dark Flame or what it's called in his spell-list ). Lately people go on several quests a week. Mostly the usefull ones like Acid Stone but also others.
"What exactly is your stand on fighting? Are you allowed to attack someone who has threatened you or has previously hurt one of your friends or guildmates?"
Here you must understand that politics come into play. In general it is simple: If somebody threatens you it'll depend but in most cases you're better off talking to one of higher up members. It's pretty unlikely that an RPK threatens you (he'd just kill you) and if somebody in a guild we're friendly with threatens you we're better off talking to the people higher up in the guild to get him to shut his mouth or boot him. As to fighting who hurts you or a guildmate. That's simple. In general anybody doing that will be killed by the whole guild. Misunderstandings are dealt with peacefully but we don't take crap from anybody. At all times we just need to keep in mind that if it's a rogue member in a good guild that we are better off dealing with it with proper respect towards their monarchy and diplomacy instead of blind rage. Defining Anti, Honor, ... is hard though one can make an attempt: RPK: they kill people just cause they feel like it Evil: they go after their goals taking only intrest in themselfs. If reaching their goals involves killing people they will do so without hesitation Neutral: they go about their business not using hostile means to get to their goals and only fighting who attacks them Good: they fight evil if it immediately affects them or not and they don't use hostile means to get to their goals Anti: the Hard Core good people that 'll do anything to rid Dereth of evil.
Honor doesn't really belong in there I think. Honor just means you take honor in how you handle yourself towards others. It means no cheating, shittalking, ... This is just how I see it. People tend to use the words as they wish and a lot of people call themself something and don't act like it at all. Darktide Politics are complicated at first though after a while you get used to it and you get used to all the special case monarchies out there. OAC is best described as a good guild. We fight evil and we don't bully nice people just cause it might help us reach our goals. I hope this helps some. Any questions, feel free to post.

| I have a little better understanding of where your guild is coming from now. I would like to talk to some of your members in game if possible. I am on often on my days off, but only a few hours in the evening on days I work. Luckily I only work 3 days a week. If there is anything you would like to ask of me, or would just like to chat, feel free to message me in game. Thanks. Savanah

| I'm locked out right now, but I like the sound of this all and think Smiling Skull has found a great guild if you are open to taking us. I thank you also for responding to Savanah's questions. And I truly like the European connection, being a former European myself. Hope to meet/talk to some of you in game. Xeno al-Zorander 23 Mage |

| Seems all the questions have been answered happily. I will leave my MOTD set to this site and your home site to filter down to vassals that don't log on much, but are still friends. I'm also glad to see the active discussion I expected from your group. OAC = WP(darktide) so far as I can tell. Man research is a pain. I went through a bunch of DT(good/anti/honor) to find you. Whew, I just look forward to joining and not being monarch to make such lofty decisions for my friends. Smiling Skull (monarch, almost like work.) |
