I just bought AC, so I don't know much about the game, but I want to play Darktide. Should I start on another server first, and learn the basics, or is it simple enough I could start on Darktide? Also, could someone give me a decent, easy to play template that would be alright to start with? Thanks,

Hrm.. maybe starting on a carebear (non-Darktide) server would be best, for my first experiences on DT kinda sucked.
DT on my guy (first time, so lvl 1):
"Welcome to Asheron's Call!
You have been slaughtered by [nameless]!
You are granted temporary respite.. etc.. etc..
{run around killing bunnies}
You have been slaughtered by [nameless]!"
AND IT KEEPS GOING!!
So, you can try DT out, looking for a good patron. Make sure you don't get tricked into swearing to someone under level 30, or they can't do anything for you. Also, mages are nice as patrons .
An easy template: Any weapon but dagger or a mage uses..
80-90str 20-50end 80-90coord 80-90quick 30-60foc 10-40self
Dagger would have 50-80str, and would boots quick and coord
A mage, well, they're waaay to difficult as a first character. (I get more out of bashing something to a pulp rather than releasing an arsenal of grafically intense bolts, but that's just me.)
