You dont have to do the actual casting. You can still jump and then cast, the difference is that you will stop in midair after you pressed the cast button. But, right after you can run and jump again after a short while. Its hard to time right but when you do its excactly the same as before, only not as smooth.
Had Rand'Al'Thor do this on me. I imperiled him then he godmoded away and cast ten or so spells all the time by keeping his distance with me, I have 330 buffed run. Maybe its not excactly as before but the end result is the same.
