I just got a web host at Infinology. The initial setup fees and such are a little high but after that it's $7 a month with 9 gigs of space, 50 gigs of data transfer, and 5000 emails.

I've heard globat has good deals but I read some bad reviews reguarding service and server speed.

GET RID OF INFINOLOGY!

They were who i use to host with and they did a piss poor job at it.

You remember when our forums were slow, our webpage was slow, you would get frequent errors in meginjarder?

That was with infinology, notice how ever since last summer there has been very little downtime? That is when i switched.

Not only were they slow, but one day all of a sudden our databases were just missing and they didnt say why it happened or have any backups. I had a backup a few days old but a competent webhost doesnt just start having databases disapear.

Get rid of them now before you get screwed.

I switched to the current host last june and its well over 99% uptime so far with maybe 1 or 2 periods of slowness. (which were short) You get 900 mb disk space and 15gig transfer, mysql/psql, unlimited emails. (The space for database and email is taken off your total webspace, unlike infinology where your limited to 20 meg per database and only get 2) all for 7 dollars a month.

This guy use to play AC too but i havnt seen him in a long time, his name was kalindar. If you want to contact him for hosting email him at [removed] and tell them zojak sent you 8p

it was inspired creativity but he said he was going to change it, i dont know what it was changed too.

You can email him at that email to get in contact with him though. I pay through paypal and its an automatic subscription to my credit card.

"Web Easy" program is great for site building. Made my first site with it and it turned out great. Then I used Globat as a domain. Can't remember their price, think it was like 10 bucks.

you can get a domain from www.godaddy.com for i think 6-8 dollars a year and you own it completely, if you get it through a 3rd party you might not keep ownership if for some reason you switch hosting.
