First, my fight vs. Acid Sin

I run across the battlefield and the first thing he does is drop Arcane Benightedness IV on me. Here's why he did it: After he vulns, melee gimps like myself always throw on the appropriate protections to compensate. Unfortunately, the diff on my protects is 139-165 and my BASE Arcane Lore is 178, plus I had a Focus Ring on, making it 185. He dropped me to 157, but I had an Arcane Enlightenment IV necklace at the ready, which would toss me back up to 182. That would deny me only my Piercing V and Fire V, and allow me all of my IV's.

I resist his first drain as well. According to Acid, his Life Magic was buffed out to 250, while my Magic Defense, I found out later, was only 215. He is getting unlucky.

At this point I am doing a little trick that I sometimes try, where I press the sidestep button and then jump right AT my opponent with the sidestep button held down. The War Magic targeting gets screwed up and thinks you are stepping to the side and aims there, while in reality you are still right where you were. As you can see, I hit 11 times and he misses twice.
