| Worked late last night and then had to get some shopping done. Got
home and signed on around 8:00, fully intent on doing chores so that
I would have the entire weekend to just play. |
| Signed on with mules first and talked with Miko
and Gar for
a few minutes, then took He-who-must-not-be-named to the North Woods
to hunt wood golems. On the way I spotted a Tusker Spawn site, and
could not resist testing He-who-must-not-be-named's strength. Killed
a Crimsonback, Goldenback, Male Tusker and Female Tusker before resuming
my run back into the North Woods. Get to a nice spawn spot and kill
50-75 Golems before saying "I really need to sign off and do chores
so I can have all day Friday to just play." But I know this.... |
| NEXT WOOD GOLEM WILL HAVE A MOTE!! |
| And I can't stop. |
| So I kill another 25 and I can't get a mote... |
| I wish this had a happier ending. |
| I finally say, I have to get some stuff done, and I go over to where
some bunnies spawn to log off. Just as I am about to do so, Rojon
tells me Herrigal
Eugen might need some help, so I msg her and find out she has
died "West of the North Yanshi Outpost." Herrigal and I run for an
hour loooking but do not find her body. She has to go, so she loggs
off, and I go looking, run for another hour, and do not find anything.
I even go to town to ask in town squre if anyone has seen Herrigal's
body. |
| No luck. |
| Its now 10:30, no chores are done - and time for bed. |
| Oh well. |
| I was curious to see Keith's note this morning. Him
and simone killed
30 Copper Golems and did not get a mote? |
| Sort of puts paid to the rumor that higher level Golems have a better
spawn rate for motes than lower level golems? |
| Does anyone have any proof that higher level Golems spawn motes
more frequently? |
| Wood Golems spawn one about one out of every 75-100 I would guess. |
| On that note - a word about these atlan weapons and the list. |
| Getting one of these weapons is going to take a LOT OF WORK. |
| Do not msg me and ask me what I am doing this weekend, because excpet
for doing the Shadow dungeon, the answer is "Getting Motes." |
| Much like Miko and Simone, every now and then you have to stop and
smell the Drudges just for a break. I took a short stop into the Matty
Cave the other night just because I was so close and well, killing
Matties is fun. |
| But don't forget how hard it is going to be to get 16 motes. |
| Yes, we do have the list, and yes we do have mages and archers donating
motes, but that still means that every active member of the source
needs to donate about ten motes apiece in order for all the people
on that list to get one. And I certainly do not expect all our mages
and archers to donate ten motes apiece for something they will not
be getting. If they donate any, its is nice and kind of them, and
all gravy for us melee fighters. |
| Here's the point. |
| I personally have found three motes and I am already sick of fighting
Wood Golems. |
| But I know I have the determination to get 13 more. |
| But its going to be a long, grueling, painful, not very much fun
- job. |
| If your name is on that list for wanting a weapon - you have to
realize that. You have to realize that this is going to be a long
process, and it doesn't stop when you get your weapon. Once you get
your weapon, you keep fighting until we get more motes, and more motes,
and more motes. |
| As I said, every now and then, a break needs to be in order. Like
the folthid cellar tonight, and the shadow dungeon on sunday. |
| Saturday? |
| I have 8 motes on me, and Mutt
just gave two more to Sister
C to give to me. That means I know of ten motes. Do we have six
more somewhere, and do we want to get Rimgar
Redsun his Axe on Saturday at noon? |
| I think we sould meet saturday at noon in Yanshi Mule Tower to combine
motes. And discuss the possibilty of going to the Crater to get a
weapon made. |
| Gar, is your
mule any where near ready? |
| Or do we need to work on him more? I know I meant to make up a low
level guy to pledge to him, and never did. So, I doubt if he is ready. |
| Thoughts? |
