TSS has put together an unbelievable Flash movie about The Source. It is well worth the ten or fifteen minutes (worst case for us 56Kers) to get the appropriate player from Macromedia and download the 2.2MB movie. I've always known Flash to be an incredible medium, but Silent has really shown it off in excellent fashion. I speak for the entire group when I say thank you to TSS for immortalizing us all.

FIRST: You must download the player from Macromedia.
Click here to Download Shockwave Player 8 (including Flash Player 5)

SECOND: Play the movie.
Source Movie [source.swf] 2.19MB 10/13/00 4:19pm

BE WARNED! With a slow connection, you will see a black screen or intermittent elements for as long as it takes to download the entire file. Seeing little bits of text or graphics is normal since Flash is trying to stream it. If your connection is fast enough, it may actually stream and your first time (or two) through may be a little choppy..

If you are having problems, want to save it to your local machine, or want to be able to track the download progress, then try the following [sorry...I know its Windows-centric, but there must be some Mac equivalent]:

• Right click on the link above and choose 'Save Target as....' to save the file to your local hard drive. I like to save to my desktop to be able to find it easily.

• From your browser choose 'File | Open...' and find the file you just saved (should be 'source.swf')

• The movie should now play in your browser

Finally TSS asked this of the DT list when he posted the file:

I expect everyone who watches this movie to reply with their feelings on it.

Did you enjoy it? Does it express out monarchy's view adequatly? Were you happy with your representation in the movie?

Or just write to say nice job.
