I am a force of nature.
I say this not to brag, but just to let you all know what it is like to be level 43.
This is a game about acheiving power, and when you think about where you would like to be, and how long it will take to get there, it gets discouraging.
Much like Miko's post about how at level 1 you want to be able to take Monounga hill and be big? And when you can do monounga hill, you want to be big and take banderling hill? And how you are always reaching for that next power level?
Well, this is a bragging and an informative post. In case you wonder at what power level you can do some things, I am here to help enlighten you.
I always wonder at what skill level it takes to hit Olthoi and what skill level you can evade olthoi, or obsidian golems or tank a tusker,. etc.
Here are some findings and some things to look forward to.
I cannot stress this enough, and it took me some time to learn this. In the olthoi lair, you must make the everready bunny look weak. I power up Piercing 4, Armor 4, coord 4, str 3 quickness 5 (from my hammer) axe mastery 2 the entire time I am in the lair. Oh, and I keep my imp 5 sheild powered at all times too. you must be uber buffed at all times in here
At level 30 as a warrior, you will burn more mana stones than you will make in treasure in any olthoi room. It is very discouraging. Olthoi will crit you for 70-100 points and you will run a lot.
At level 35 as a warrior, you will start to hit workers, and get loot rights every now and then. You can break even on treasure and mana stone usage.
At level 40, you start to get amazed when anyone takes loot rights from you. The competition with other warriors your level or similar is very fun. You will start to crit workers for 100. You can solo a soldier pretty easy, and you start to hit the noble.
At level 43, you own olthoi. With a stamina potion you can take the noble. You can solo three olthoi workers at once, or a soldier and a worker. You fear nothing because if your wife dies, you will just CLEAR THE WHOLE DUNGEON ALONE and get her body.
on to archers.
Archers and warriors both need an olthoi hunting outfit. It might be mismatched and diffent styles, but it must be the highest al you can find.
at level 30, you can get loot rights on the noble over a room full of level 40+ warriors.
However
at level 30 as an archer, you will be killed in one hit by a soldier, two by a worker.
At level 35, you can run arounds the tunnels if they are really busy and get loot rights over warriors as long as the olthoi does not survive long.
At level 40 you can very carefully solo the tunnels as long as you do one at a time, and run a lot.
At level 50, you owns the tunnels. You kill things so fast they can't get to you to do the damage you need. You are very comfortable there.
onward
My melee D right now is 220.
My axe skill is 256 unbuffed, 286 buffed with the above.
with my skills like this - I can do some things I never thought possible.
I can stand, not in fight mode, and let an obsidian swing at me and miss while Mare kills it with her bow. Rhodry was watching my health ready to heal me when he hit me, and I took zero damage in ten swings. I did this a number of times.
I can now tank Tuskers and take 4 damage a hit.
I can stand, not in fight mode, and let 3 olthoi workers attack me as Mare kills them (powerlevling at its finest) I might get to 3/4 health before all three are dead.
Loking for Cyblades body in the north woods I had male, female, and a silverback tusker on me. I had 3 banderling ravers, 4 mites, and 2 banderlingh guards fail to hit me in 100 attacks as I stopped to pick up a wand on the ground. I took zero damage, and my stamina replenished as fast as it went down from evading. I stood still for a minute, amazed that they could not hit me.
I did this again a number of times just to watch. It was so fun.
I do not say these things to say - Look how cool I am. Druss has a lot of flaws, and has no missle defense, but does have cooking AND thrown weapins and no item. He is far from a well built charcter.
I say these things so that you will know that these are the things you have to look forward to. These are the things you can do at level 43. Even with a character that has a lot of flaws.
