O.k., First off, Hi Pete. Sorry I never got a chance to say hi yesterday.
Glad you enjoy my writings, I'm sure you'll enjoy silents at LEAST
as much.
As to leveling, well, let me just rant here for a sec. I think your
goals
are great
I know I can certainly make level 10 in one weeekend, without anyone
twinking me. Its pretty reliant on having some supplies though.
A good
weapon being formost, and enough money to buy healing kits is second.
Arnor
is third.
I don't think a lot of people "get" leveling, so let
me explain how I do it.
I prepare first by getting a good enough weapon. Either running
to a town
where they sell better weapons, or by hand me downs from someone.
Next thing to do is raise enough money to buy 10 or more healing
kits.
Now that I am prepared, I go and I fight.
I don't message anyone, I don't keep heavy loot, i don't plan on
going to
town until I need more supplies, or I have loot that is just too
good to
pass up selling or muling. I don't get involved in skirmishes in
town, and I
don't id people to see if they are someone I can kill.
Leveling is a JOB. I don't PLAY ac when I am leveling. I have no
fun when I
am leveling. I don't try to balence, going on quests and having
fun, and
making money, etc. I have a specific goal in mind, and I'll go back
to
PLAYING ac when I reach that goal.
There have been periods where the lower levels seemed to be having
a lot
more fun talking and being on DT and getting to know everyone than
actually
being goal oriented and just killing stuff. From level 10-15 though,
Herri,
and Zak, and Mhali and Mizu and all the oters just went INSANE and
leveled
up from 10-15 alone in less than a week. That was amazing, and shows
what
you can do when you put your mind to it.
Of course, real life can put a stop to that too.

Yup, you sure do.

This is incorrect, and I have tried to explain how to do this to
the up and
comers, but I don't think they either got my message, or didn't
understand
it.
Mare and I were in the Lug citadel at 15. We got our asses kicked,
and we
ran for the door a lot.
We went up to the FIRST spawn, and stayed around the corner from
them,
while they tried to chuck rocks at us through the wall. Then they
would tire
of this, and advance on us.
This is two Obeloths. Not lithos. Obeloths.
Sometimes both would come at once, and we would book feet for the
portal.
But most of the time, one would come, then ten seconds later, the
other
would come and Mare and I could take them.
I tried to stress to the up and comers caution in this place, but
I don't
think I was very clear.
The very first time Zak went in (sorry zak, not to pick on you,
everyone
does this) he went booking up the hallway at top speed. Soon he
was off my
radar. I sighed and looked over at Mare "he's gonna die"
Three second later, Zak is on my radar again, persued by 6 Lithos.
"Zak'nafein is shatted by Lithos Lugians Assault!"
Two or three times of this happening, and Zak messages me "I'm
too small for
that place."
Nope you're not.
You're too small to go charging down a hallway alone, into a pack
of Lithos.
When you are 15, you stay in the entrance. You go to the FIRST
spawn and
camp there. If a whole group of guys go charging uip and you go
with them,
you get excited, and you past the first spawn, then you past the
second
spawen, then you go to theird spawn
DANGER WILL ROBINSON!! DANGER!!
You go up to the first spawn. If people are with you, go to the
second
spawn. If people keep going, you say "see ya, I can't see the
door anymore,
good luck,"
Surviving in the Lug dungeon is about Caution.
At 15, you are the lowest level in there. Take a WEEK to learn
the layout of
the place. Level to 20, get very comfortable.
Get the idea?
Viate doesn't get you exp. Patience and getting 2-3 hits in when
there is a
mob around to protect you, does.

Feel Free, more spam is good.
