An ODD Game
July 31, 2000

Grumpy today, feel free to skip.

Lets see if I can keep the expletives out of this one, so as not to take
uncessary flak from people who are bothered by that. I find people listen
better if you don't post with a string of curses showing your frustration.

If you like expletives, feel free to add your favorite one in place of every
ODD word.

What kind of an ODD game system is it when Endurance is more important to
Mages than Fighters? (Note the popular, um, well, ONLY template for fighters
these days that is 100, 10, 100, 100, 10, 10)

What kind of ODD game system is it when the FREE weapons (i.e. racial) are
FAR more powerful than weapons you spend 6 and 8 credits on?

What kind of ODD game system is it that makes fighters with a high RUN most
effective? (i.e. the horrible, please Turbine remove this awful thing,
Sticky patch BUG. I still hate this ODD thing.)

What kind of ODD game system is it that towns are actually where all the
fighting takes place? The LEAST safest place to go in all of DT?

What kind of ODD game system is it when WAR magic is far less effective than
LIFE magic?

What kind of ODD game system is it when the Hollow Katar is doing more
damage than a Hollow Sword or Axe, and nothing is done to fix it?

What kind of ODD game system makes the Sticky Patch? So monsters and PC's
alike look like they are skating behind you? So that FAST warriors with FREE
weapons get to keep smashing the crap out of you as you run. Meanwhile, the
one you spent six or eight credits on benefits not one ODD ODD ODD ODD bit
from it?

What an ODD game.

PS, before some smartODD person tells me the game wasn't designed for PVP,
every statement except for the one about towns applies to the other servers
as well.
