I just can't win.
At low level I get no enjoyment because all I do is die to high
level PK's
At mid level I start to see what a bunch of whiney punks PK's are.
At High level, I begin to understand that when I die, I will get
messages
like "You fukken sux" or if I win, I will get messages
like "I was lagged,
you looted! You PHAG you have NO HONOR!" (An actual happening,
this from a
PK. Telling me "I" have no honor! LOL!"
Its important for me to "win"
I decide today that I have been grumpy a lot lately, and thats
because I
have been dying a lot to PK's. I decide to fucus on not having good
fights,
since PK's rarely if ever say "good fight" and instead
focus on Winning.
Recalling out in bad situations, fighting people only my level
or below, and
keeping my stuff.
I have acid vuln 6 on me from my fight with Litar last night.
I see Shoan, level 49 Og vassal buffing by the portal to yanshi.
I jump down
off the lifestone and run by her, into town shouting "Level
49 Og vassal,
raiding soon, run!"
I say this three times and then I see Sensai and Drake in town.
"oh cool" I say, to let them know I will be staying since
I have support.
I jump up on the armory roof to buff, and she hits me for over
100 points of
damage in 3 seconds, and I jump down off the roof, and run to the
big stone,
I see Drake's big ass axe trying to hit shoan as she chases me.
That red
lightning is hard to miss. Standing on rock, and fail to heal, fail
to heal,
drink a healing potion, heal, heal, and go to engage a second time.......
Where's Drake?
Is he dead since I could not help while I was healing? I don't
see him....
Mare leans over, looks at my buffs and debuffs that are on screen
and says
"Acid Vuln 6"
Crap, jump up on the armory again, I still do not see drake. And
that big
red axe is hard to miss. I do see Shoan casting imperil 5 on me
though.
(if her story is true, did she just ignore drake this whole time?
Drake,
tell me, when did you die?)
I portal out.
Then Shoan makes me feel like a loser when I say "Sorry we
couldn't have a
good battle."
No matter what my goals are in this game - I cannot win.
I know that this should just flow off my back like water on a duck,
but it
does not. Sorry.
