Let me just say before I start ranting "Its just a game."

That said, I have a hard time accepting this.

I play this game to help my friends, and to battle evil.

The trouble is, evil is a lot stronger than we are, all of them have
levels on their side, and the most powerful pks are mages.

I AM SICK TO DEATH OF DYING TO MAGES!!!

Let me address this in my usual random rambling way.

Brendan first. I never saw a one of your messages and I am sorry
about that. I never saw you say run or help or anything. All I know
is I see Morbidscat come into the meeting hall, and I see Mare shurov
away. Silent is not there. That leaves me and Kumo to take on
Morbidscat. Morbidscat hit me with flame vuln 6 and fire ball 6 last
night and hit me for over 130 points of damage, then harm 5'd me as I
drank a healing potion and I got away with 3 life. Fighting with me
at the time was Sensai, Siter C and Silent. Maybe Kumo too. We did
not get a kill on him, and he killed one of us (I think, not sure on
this part, but I thought he got a kill)

When he comes into the meeting hall, and we have all been doing
emotes and fashion shows and discussing new templates for Garurumon
to play, NONE of us are buffed, and one of us has the hollow katar.
Silent was not there at the time.

That mean that we have the same crew as we had before, MINUS silent,
and we couldn't get a kill before AND we were unbuffed.

When Mare shuroved away, I knew it was hopeless. I shuroved too.

I immediatly say to kumo "Run" so he would not be there alone
thinking we were going to fight.

Then mare says "Morbidscat and Scatkiller were there."

"Both!!!???" I said. Well, I'm really glad we got our ass out of
there then.

I mean lets be serious.

If the entire source, sans hollow katars and our mages, took on
Morbidscat and Scatkiller, we would all die. They both have shadow
armor, and they both cast sixes like nothing. Morbid fizzled once on
a six against me.

And once more, I reiterate that I did not even see your message to
run, I'm sorry Sensai. I never saw run, or help, or run, or anything.
I don't know how I missed it, And I hate that.

Later on in the evening, mizu messages me "I need help in Yanshi,
taking on Adnan."

I have to decline because Mare and I are Broke. I have one mana stone
in the bag, and I have 5 X notes. If I do not spend some time hunting
Olthoi, I will die soon.

Mizu is in a bad mood just like I am and we have a discussion on how
the Source has lost its way. How in the old days, if we heard Pk in
town, we would all come running. Now we don't. We keep hunting Olthoi.

I get this feeling myself a lot too.

There are times (in the past, not lately) when I feel like I am the
only one guarding Yanshi. I know this is not true, expecially lately,
eveyone has been in Yanshi and keeping the peace, its been great.

But I'm sick of dying to Mages.

I'm sick of losing a bag full of death items to the highest level
guys on the server, and unlike some people, not even finding anyone
who will stick around to fight me who is even close to my level and
melee.

Almost all my last fights in the last month have been against mages,
or fighters with a lot of mage support.

I'm going through a "I'm sick of fighting Pk's stage"

I defended Teth last week, and when we attacked, the Pks all fled.
When they attacked, I stayed and fought and died, and watched one
Mindeater Shurov away when ONE enemy showed up at the LS and killed
me. He shuroved as soon as the enemy appeared, and I engaged.

Mare and I and Silent and Kumo took on Adnan for 30 minutes the other
day. Adnan is an asshole, but he is really good at doing the circle
around the portal trick, and is admitedly, better at PVP than a lot
of us. (Cowardly in other words) Silent killed him earlier, before
this, so Silent got one kill on him. When mare and I and Silent and
Kumo took him on, Silent died and I died, Then silent died again, and
then I died again. In all this time - Adnan did not die once. At like
12% vitae silent and natalie take on Adnan (two hollow katars) and
they win. So for Silent, he got to kill Adnan Twice, and died twice,
pretty even. For me, my version is this - Adnan took on 4 of the
highest member sourcers and killed us 4 times. One mage.

Bad luck, thats all it is.

So I decide to go raiding. I'll just run the circuit. I find some
lowbie Pks and then I see the guys I had to shurov away from
(remember this story?) and I smash them, kill one, and the other
ducks into a portal. As I got through the portal, Kaz the unknown
lites me up, and 4 melees wail into me and kill me. Not really a
successful raid.

I go raiding again, I don't find anyone to fight. Until I get to
holtburg. In Holtburg I see Gelfling the elf. I have no idea what he
is, other than a trash talking PK. I engage. I quickly find out what
he is when he Imp 6's me, and then his level 45 melee accomplice
smashes the crap out of me while he drains me.

I go raiding with a TON of Source not two days ago, and, we find very
few people to fight, and they all shurov away. The one time they do
not shurov away, is the trash talking loser who killed Kumo because
we miscommunicated.

Remember those awesome PKs battles I used to save and post to the
list? I'm dying to do that again, but every single time I have gone
looking for a battle, I get my ass kicked seriously hard by a mage
and a melee, or just a mage, or, I don't find anyone at all.

Just bad luck, but THATS why I'm not into hunting PKs much.

When Mizu messaged me last night and said Need help with Adnan, I was
like... That portal dancing high level mage weenie who'se now killed
me threee times? You run Mizu, I'm not coming. I've had it with him.
If four of us, higher level than you, can't get a kill on him, then
you and I sure as hell can't.

Mizu mentioned that in the old days, everyone would come to Yanshi.

Well, in the old days, the PKs were our level or below. Now when I
got to yanshi, its under attack by 5 guys all level 50+ and half of
them are mages.

I love Yanshi, and I love guarding it, but why do you think our mule
spots are getting Pkd so much? How come we can't find a safe spot to
mule?

Here's why.

PK1 - What do you want to do?

Pk2 - lets go to Yanshi. Silent's group hangs out, they never trash
talk, they drop amazing loot, they're always there, and they only
have two mages for support, and half of them are melee gimps. We'll
wreck them.

PK1 - wow, that sounds awesome!

Pk2 - yeah, I know where they mule too, so we can catch them unbuffed
even.

pk1 - sweet! and they don't trash tlak after you rape them? how sweet
is that?

pk2 - well, there is a down side.

pk1 - whats that?

pk2 - Well, since they are always there, there's almost a line to
kill them. They might all be white.

pk1 - ROFL!

I don't mean to be an immense whiner any more than I already am, but
I am having a lot more fun hunting monsters than I am hunting PKs
right now. Now that I'm level 44, I can't find anyone LOWER level
than me to fight anymore! All the little Pks are pledged to Anti's,
leveling in the citadel or the OHN, and they'll turn pk again after
they get to 50.

In talking to Mizu or Nat or just about anyone. "Yeah, went raiding,
found 10 guys in three cities, killed them all it was great."

My raids a quite a bit less successful than this, sorry.

Bad luck I am sure.

I'm hoping it ends soon. Until it does you can find me hunting
olthoi, shadows and frags, and on saturday - Tumorocks.
