A RESOUNDING SUCCESS!!!
This will HAVE to be a repeat event!
I had SOOOO much fun!
My matches and thoughts.
Chinook vs. Druss
No surprises for me here at all. This went exactly as I expected.
Timed out in a draw.
Druss has too much Health, Armour and Healing for me to beat him down
enough.
I was far too fast for him to ever catch me to finish me.
I was pleasantly surprised at how often I evaded Druss. shouldn't
have been surprised, I evade Lugs like they're nothing now.
100 coord, 100 quick, Specced in Melee Def. will do that.
I had been planning to try and Brittlemail his shield, but dammit,
the animation for putting away a bow, pulling out a wand, and then
switching back is SO SLOW! I've never tried this in combat and at
the time didn't think about coming back from one of my runs ready
for this.
Druss did an amazing job of dodging my first 3 shots and that was
KEY!!
No I wasn't buffing my Bow with BD 5 times :)
Once on the Bow (with a fizzle), then 3 times on 3 Greater Arrows,
Lightning, Acid, Frost. This can be BIG folks.
Then HS on the Bow.
Tried for one or 2 BIG criticals to start things off, but nope, Druss
strafed too well.
Damn you Druss ;-)
My only good critical of the night was when I hit myself!!!
I hate that!!
Health went from 108 to about 53, BLAM.
And I'm like, OH SHIT, the Big Axe hasn't even come down yet and I've
put myself in range for a couple of solid hits to finish me.
Good thing I maxed my coord... I'm still a clumsy oaf with a Bow.
Dhali vs. Chinook and Drake
Oh, was this a good one!!
I warn Drake not to try to heal too much face to face with Drains.
He'll just give health to Dhali and both of our attacks will mean
nothing.
I Buff my Bow and 3 Arrows again. I don't bother you equip my Helm
or any combat buffs, they'll mean squat to Dhali, but I do get Coord,
Str, Run and Quick Buffs going (Bow Mastery too).
Drake did some good damage but went down quickly. I assume he was
just too slow to get out of Life range, or maybe he just tried to
stand toe to toe to the end.
My Uber Buffed Arrows failed to find their mark AGAIN!
The rest everyone saw, I could do some good damage to Dhali until
he closed, Drain, drain, drain, me run, run, run, heal, heal, heal.
Lather rinse repeat.
Dhali eventually debuffed my Run and Quick.
This was good, but not enough, I was still faster and could outdistance
him.
Eventually though, I was in Harm's Way.
Dhali got off a good harm before I was out of range due to his debuffs.
One thought, another debuff, Weakness, would have likely dropped me
to Dhali's speed or lower.
Game over then.
Well fought, I liked this battle immensely.
TSS vs. Almost Everyone
ALL Melee Buffs Up! Imp the Leggings!
Our tactics? RUN if he comes at you!!!
The big question?
Who will TSS try to take out first?
The Magic wielding Sister C or the Archer Chinook.
Oh shit, it's me!
TSS once told me that he doesn't run because they stick to you and
you die anyway.
Nope, I ran from him 3 times I think, not dying.
But dammit TSS, you are fast for having started at 10. I'm faster,
but not by enough.
Eventually I just couldn't outrun the damage.
Got a 27 shot in, a few teens... lots of little sparks...
Was VERY hopeful when TSS got to half life with at least 3 of us on
him.
Some failed Healings with some criticals might have allowed for THE
upset of the night, but then I heard the SLURP, SLURP, and knew it
was over.
I was a corpse very soon after this.
Deao had advised me before the match to try and fight from the top
of the tent and block TSS from Jumping up.
Probably was a good idea, I hate untested tactics though and I have
so rarely used jump.
I'm a runner, not a percher.
Go with what you know... but I would like to try this sometime though.
Was great to see so many out!
Had loads o' laughs, learned a few things.
Glad to see some small guys got to play too.
