I'm still working my way back through all the digests that have built up
(still got 20 unread, grrr) but wanted to share this little snippet from the
Ice Shrine today.

Hmm, okay, time to make a run for it. I run away from the Golems and plan
to rebuff until I see a red dot on the edge of my radar. It's a guy lying
on the ground. I assess him. Shollos. I'm getting really frustrated at
not being able to fight the ice golems (every time I go there it seems to be
camped, even at off-peak times). And now there are PKs here. He is at half
health and I can't tell his level. For some reason I'm overwhelmed with
bravery and decide that I'm going to show him what RADICALLY ANTI means!

given that I would've taken a real beating if he'd started firing at me).
Dammit, why wasn't I casting Drain Mana? I should've seen this one
coming.... More points on the dice... who gets four points in ONE FIGHT?
I need more Fight Nights to practice.

I quickly rebuff and then decide to try sending him a /tell. I rarely talk
to people after I've fought them, I'm usually worried they'll be mean to me.
But this guy, well, he's Shollos, who cares? So I send him a quick message.

What does this mean? What's "shard" in this context?

Well that went better than expected :-)

Actually really enjoyed talking to the guy after we fought. He's only one
level higher than me it turns out so one day we really might fight again -
will be interesting....
