Fight Night IV
by Nicolas Easter (9/16/00)
Well, unfortunately, I'm a moron, and forgot to save BOTH chat logs from fights, but here's a brief recap.

Fellow up with Tek'a. Tell him to use pierce arrows. He's got basics. Use a buff to give him armor IV. Wow, I think that helped a ton for him. Then saw what type of arrows Chin was fighting, hit Tek'a with a prot for that. Chin started with greater frogs. Then switched to lightning. Oh, and I told tek'a to stand behind me. I knew I could take more hits than he could. I tried to intercept incoming arrows. Worked once or twice. Enough I think it made a minor difference. Then, when chin started using the greater lightning, my eyes lit up. I had vuln IV for lightning, and Ijust knew chin would be wearing superhelm(I honestly didn't know for sure, I assumed) After Chin slid off the screen one time to heal up, I told tek'a to scoop all the greater lightning arrows, and to aim high. I was playing the hunch. Chin tried a few times to get me, but was only hitting for 10-12 with frogs, and 12-14 with lightning, with a couple of 20+ crits in there, but not enough to be frightening. I assumed it would be a draw. Tek said he was getting good hits, but with the range, chin had plenty of room to slip away. I saw him below half a couple of times, but only chased after him twice, both times to give tek'a room to scoop mroe arrows off the ground. Chin was arming tek'a for us :) When chin charged, I was surprised. I didn't even bother with drains, I went right for harms...at that range, I knew I'd get two, as long as he kept shooting at tek'a. Then low and behold, tek'a slams chin for about a 60 point hit, in the super helm, with imperil and vuln IV up. We win :) One on one, though, I'm quite sure I would have lost. With Chin's speed, he'd just move away and heal up. Only thing I could hope for is that rejuve V would give me enough stam to keep me in mana before he came charging back in.

As far as the free for all....well, they had better strategy. Actually, they HAD strategy. Ours was to imperil and vuln the mages first..but..uh..most of our meleers were going in with hallowed weapons instead. Should have just lit up the meleers like Drake and Nat, etc. Might have had a better chance. Acid resisted my first imperil, I stuck the second as he hit me with imperil V. Yuck. Then I see no less than 4 melees running at me. Ok, 7, 5, 7, 6, 59, 7...wait..back up, WTF!!! Drake came slamming in with Big red axe of beatings, and the gimpiest mage alive forgot his lightning pro :( Died in the light vuln animation that I was trying to love Acid with. I think I lasted all of about 15 seconds. Then, to be humourous, as I'm dying, dhali sticks life inept IV right as I slip into free purple tunnel ride animation, wheee. All in all, though, a total blast. Mass melee is way way too much
fun. We need to do that again. Reminded me of picking up basketball games in the summer. Oh, and I NEED CREATURE DAMNIT, heh. And good fun was had by all.
