Uni and Tester
by Nicolas Easter (10/2/00)
Come back from a short jaunt to the citadel. (Btw, anyone have a tie to the plains? I want tuskers :) Some white dots pop up at the LS, killed by beanerdips, or something. So I buff, run into town 5 minutes later....wow, it's uni. Imperil and vuln him...oh look, he runs away. (Note to self, when BY myself, debuff skills, instead of imperil vuln) Talking to elron...we
join the action in progress as Uni comes back to town.

Unicron says, "Cruath Quareth"
Elron tells you, "where are you? nat heres you"
You tell Elron, "just ran unicron out of town...wanna drop in? he's gonna
come back when the debuffs where off"

Uni may only use one damage type, but he's no fool.. People are starting to realize I don't use war, so I get preemptive to the debuff I know is coming.

He's in harm range, and he knows it, even with the life debuff, I can sling a 5 and kill from this point. Lots of practice on lugies tells me this...he has somewhere between 38 and 47 hitpoints left, and a harm V can kill.

This where he must have seen nat come tearing in behind me. I swear I heard
bugles blowing for the cavalry coming to run in. But I flubbed. I should
have gone into godmode, and debuffed the crap out of his speed, but I fumbled
my buttons, and got irritated...by the time I had weakness up on the spell
bar, he was already out of range, and had room to port from nat. Still, I
know they both have at least 5 levels on me, and I think I did very damn
well. Next time, if I remember to debuff their life magic, I think I can
resist the crap out of their drains, letting me stick around to party with
them longer, and maybe empty their mana pools and force them to portal log.
All in all, a promising fight, for me. Magic D has already started to show
itself, and once my speed and PvP skills climb some(and I buckle down and
level some more) I think I'm going to be scaring some people.

Nicholas

P.S. 3 resists, against two mages with at least 5 levels each on me. NOW try
to tell me specing magic D on DT isn't the penultimate skill to spec above
ALL others. You die because of magic, plain and simple, more than ANY other
factor. Just my two cents, hope you got a kick out of it.
