Every now and then when playing this game I go nuts. I do it because it is fun. Vitae is fun. Getting killed by a a Penumbris is fun. Running around with no pants is fun. And wow do you get some good loot when you loot that dead corpse of yours..

So much time is spent analyzing the fate of my hard earned experience and buffing this and that and making sure this and that.....every now and then I just have to say well to 'hell with it, I am just going to play this game'. That's when I run up to a huge baddie and give it a good level punch to the head--which usually misses since I am an archer.

Last night for example--- I get booted by the big HACK, which is okay 'cause I just portalled to mayoi and was doing some shopping. I log on just to see if I can about four hours later. Lo, I am not in mayoi, I am not rich, I am in the Dires getting beat on by two skeleton lords. Eek! I say when I stop being purple and can move and have 13 hit points. I run around and eventually figure out that I am relatively close to the fort. I run to the fort and man-Stuff I had isn't there and Curses! the server gods haven't blessed me with mystical replacements. Alright, there are a ton of Source people there--fine low on ammo, comps you name it I will just run around for a little until I get rich again.

This I do--Hey its okay running around in the trenches by the fort. I have these new pair of coor III gloves that have given me the ability to drop just about anything if I put my mind to it. Cool I say, well then I am with a group of 4+ ppl a couple die but I am untouched (due mostly to the presence of Tanks-god bless em), no nothing I de-buff what's the point?

That's about the time when I snap--Killus Daffus Duckus. I shoot anything that moves in my sites. Ash, silver, ravener whatever--so finally I almost get to die when a couple of ash get me down-

That's when somebody decides to take on the penumbris. At this point I have nothing buffed, about 30 arrows ready and I haven't bothered to heal in like ten minutes. Eh....About 6? 8? lvl 24+ chars? I don't know.... jump into 2 penumbris and a lt. Finally I get to die...well I shoot my unbuffed arrows and get 0 hits, yep 0 hits. Well that's not working and I don't have time to get in fighting form so I shoot the Lt in the butt and run around in circles so as the rest of the kiddies can continue to beat on the big boys. Shadow Lt incinerates you for 86 YES! almost there.... Well eventually I return to a lot of dead bodies, have no idea what happened but there is still a penumbris...So I figures why not? I get to full health (still no buffs) and shoot the sucker-you scratch penumbris for 7!!!. He floats up and punches me-no spell- punch once-103+ damage-tunnel-lifestone. Yes! I even got to see the wind up, very funny.

I run back get my gear and see my group hanging out by some golds--They die, wasps die, I die. Cool Vit is now at 9%---I love the light shows when you get seriously stomped by magic using critters--oh the colors

So now what? My favorite part of vit is that all your skills become cheaper to raise when you have vit. down by 10%? so is the price to raise health--hehe. Perhaps someday I will just get naked and kiss zefirs until i am at the much vaunted 40% max. imagine only a 1,000 to raise a skill--wow....kill me now.
