In part two of our series, we're going to examine how an Item
Melee buffs for PvP combat.
It is quite simple.
Start with 195 max mana.
Blood Drinker IV on my Peerless Sparkling Atlan Spear.
Swift Killer IV on my Peerless Sparkling Atlan Spear.
Heart Seeker IV on my Peerless Sparkling Atlan Spear.
Defender IV on my Peerless Sparkling Atlan Spear.
35 mana left.
Health To Mana I. I lose 92 points of health and gain 76 points
of mana.
Heal to full.
Health To Mana I. I lose 92 points of health and gain 76 points
of mana.
Heal to full.
I now have 180 mana.
Impenetrability IV on my Steel Tower Shield.
Impenetrability IV on my Amuli Shadow Coat
Impenetrability IV on my Amuli Shadow Leggings
I now have 60 mana. Enough to portal out if I need to.
Armor IV
Coordination IV
Strength III
Focus IV
Magic Resistance IV
Invulnerability III
Quickness IV
This is all jewelry.
Look at the Armor level here. From the front, it is 590 or so. Imperil
IV won't put a DENT in that. In fact, I fought about 3 Mid-30's
melees at once at the LoD last night, and their mage buddy hit me
with Imperil IV, and it DID SQUAT.
The whole sequence takes about a minute, and after it has completed,
I am impervious to most melee's who do not have mage support. It
will only get better once I hit the sweet spot for level V's (210
skill). Currently I NEVER fizzle a Lv 4, which is why I use them.
About buffing your armor- do it. Why? So you can afford to drop
your shield for a while to portal or brittlemail. It is the difference
between dropping your shield and taking 5 hits for 15 and being
screwed, or taking 5 hits for 7 and being fine.
