Yes J, I DO open up a backpack and find the right shirt. But, when
your
pack ONLY has 12 items in it (5 rings and 7 protect pants) you don't
have
much trouble. In my case, my only green pants are my Acid Protection
IV
ones. While autorunning, or even while running in circles I drag
and drop
them on my body.
If I have to switch pants during a fight I remove my Amuli Leggings,
drop
them in the Helper pack, remove the pants, drop them in the Helper
pack,
drag and drop the new pants onto me, and then drag and drop my Amuli
Leggings back on to me. The process takes about 5 seconds, during
which I
am running in circles or strafing to avoid war. It sounds hard,
but with
practice, it is not.
As far as Impenetrability on everything, yes, it is normal. You
should
always do it if you're looking for a fight. Like I said in a previous
article, it is the difference between dropping your shield to portal
out and
taking 10 a hit instead of 20, being at half life when you escape
instead of
NO life. You're going to have a lot of fun with Item Magic, Druss,
because
it opens up so many possibilities, lets you be as strong as you
want as long
as you have the patience and the Life Wand to get more mana.
In any case, Impen on your armor is vital if you're going to fight
multiple
people at once, because it ups what I like to call your Logical
Opponent
Count. (LOC)
If I'm fighting a LV 45 Melee and a LV 28 Melee, I have two physical
opponents, but only one logical one. This is because whether my
armor is
Impen'd or not, the LV 28 Melee can't hurt me, he'll hit once in
10 tries
for 1 damage a shot no matter what he's doing, 4 if I don't have
my armor
Impen'd. This means I can just fight the LV 45 guy and ignore his
buddy.
With Impen on your armor, a LV 28 Archer goes from being an actual
threat to
not being one. This lowers your LOC.
The ability to fight multiple characters at once is a reflection
of my level
and the level and CLASS of my opposition. I have worked long and
hard to be
able to do it, and I'm starting to see results. By pure force of
XP, I have
the skills to fight off three LV35 characters in a long, drawn-out
battle.
Against mages, just bide your time. They can't kill you worth shit
if they
are lower level than you, but they won't give up because they are
stubborn
bastards. I do test shots every so often to see if their buffs are
failing,
and I also assess every so often to check mana levels and to see
if their
Focus/Self are shown in green (meaning they still have active Creature
buffs). Eventually their buffs will fall and if they don't portal
out, they
are dead, because they will start fizzling, getting resisted, and
running
low on mana, not to mention they have NO MELEE DEFENSE and will
die in
seconds without buffs.
Melees are just flat-out hard to kill unless you have someone to
vuln for
you. Still, it can be done, esp. if the fight is long and drawn
out. You
need to have your armor Impen'd here, and Brittlemail their shields
when you
can. You will take about 90 damage with your shield down, but so
what, you
have 190 HP :) Then beat the guy's ass whose shield you took down.
Archers are pathetically easy for a Melee to kill (no, not mages
with a bow,
archers)...just run up and slaughter them while you take 8 damage
a shot
from their bow. I can fight 3 archers at once no problem.
If I were to remake Silent I wouldn't change a thing :) I love
all of my
stats. I'm serious. Life Magic isn't that good when you only have
160 base
skill in it at LV 45!!!! (Which is where my Item skill is)....Imperil
IV...fizzle!
You'll see some interesting group and anti-group tactics at fight
night.
Should be interesting, esp. my fight against you four guys.
